  1. Do I need an electrician to install  solar power security lights?
  2. No! Our solar powered lights operate at a low voltage power,  they do not need to be connected to any electrical outlet or circuit box. Solar security & accent lights are powered by the sun. Only a screw driver & a drill are necessary for our wall-mounted products to be installed in minutes.

  3. What if the sun is not shining?
  4. All of our solar power lights are equipped with rechargeable batteries that recharge from the sun’s power and store that power for future use. A built-in photo cell turns off the light at daybreak and back on at nightfall. This conserves power during daylight hours when lighting is not necessary.

  5. Why do our solar power lighting products utilize LED white light technology, with multiple wide-angle LED’s instead of an incandescent, halogen or compact fluorescent bulb?
  6. Many solar lights on the market today use halogen bulbs which have a much shorter life-span than LEDs. LEDs are the true winner over the halogen, incandescent, and compact fluorescent in energy efficiency, brightness, size and longevity. The LEDs estimated life is 20,000 - 50,000 hours of whiter and brighter operation.

  7. If the solar panel collector on the SL-100 & SL-200 is not facing South, how will it charge my solar power light?
  8. Both of these models allow you to easily detach the solar panel collector and include a 12 foot cable to remotely locate the solar panel at a Southern exposure for maximum sun penetration and power generation.

  9. How will my solar power light recharge if I am located in an area of the country with quite a few cloudy days?
  10. Our solar powered outdoor lights utilize amorphous  silicon solar panels that are a “Thin Film Technology”. They perform better than other solar cell types in varying degrees of sunlight. They also perform well in  both high & low temperatures.

  11. What model of solar security lights would I purchase for maximum illumination, least power consumption and the conservation of battery power?
  12. The SL-100 Solar Motion Light.  It includes a built-in passive infrared motion detector that automatically triggers the light to go on when someone moves through the detection range. The unit can be preset to illuminate for 1/2 minute, 1 or 3 minutes after motion is no longer present. The light will then go out. You are really conserving energy with the SL-100 as power is only used when the detection area is violated !!
