I ordered an SL-200 Solar Flood Light from solarpowersecuritylights.com about 4 weeks ago with the intention of mounting it on a pole to illuminate the American Flag on an outdoor flag pole at our local cemetery's Veterans Memorial. Before ordering I spoke with Mike in Customer Service about the capability of this Solar Light for my application. Mike wanted to hear back as to how this project worked out. This is absolutely the best flag light in the world!! The SL-200 is mounted 9 feet above the ground and shines on the flag on a 16' flag pole. It is illuminated every night from dusk to dawn. I have just ordered my second SL-300 Solar Bollard Light. We have a condo at the beach and our Board of Directors recently decided to replace all of our hard wired lights along the sea wall with the non-corrosive Aluminum SL-300 Solar Bollard light. My wife and I noticed how bright the lights were and how they were removable in case of hurricanes. We ordered one for our pool walkway at home and were so pleased that we have ordered a second light. I am impressed with the fast service and the ease of installation. The SL-100 solar motion light is a great security light. I love the red LED, on the bottom, that states the unit is up & running! You can see the lighted area 60+ feet away. This is a good deterrent to those unwanted visitors in an area you choose to secure. The LED lights are bright, the solar panel is great, as it produces power daily for function & activation. Great light, I’m glad I bought 2. Perfect price, free shipping, you can’t beat that. The light does what they said it would. Halogen bulb solar lights are not even near this category. First halogen solar light I bought, from some other website, was defective. The second one was also defective and I paid $124.00 for each. This SL-100 Solar Motion LED light is the “real deal”. You really need at least one today.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of learning a new solar lighting application from one of our Canadian neighbors. It seems he’s in charge of promoting a “race track” in Canada. They are placing double-sided billboards to advertise the race track in view of the two-way traffic on a major highway. Electrical service is 500 yards away from the billboard locations! Trenching… conduit… electricians… city permits & dollar “eating” electric meters. Our Canadian friend was astute enough to “Think Solar”.
He is proposing utilizing our model SL-200, white, bright, wide angled multiple LED Flood Lights for this application. The billboard sign is 20’ wide & 10’ high. He will mount 2 SL-200’s on each advertising side of the billboard, on the mounting posts below the sign, pointing diagonally toward the opposite upper corner of the sign. 4 SL-200 Solar Powered Flood Lights for each billboard, at less than $300.00 per billboard.
You do the math!! But I think their “payback” on investment will be less than 3 weeks, not even counting free power for many years. Oh… by the way, LED lights have a life expectancy of 30,000 to 50,000 hours (3 yrs to 5 yrs of 24/7 illumination) Of course, this model has a Dusk to Dawn Photocell to preserve the life & energy usage of the flood light.
I have to believe that this is one of the bestenergy saving solar power pplications that I’ve heard of! Pass it on to your friends in advertising!

Stop the madness!! If you need solar, garden, patio, or pathway lights… make sure the lighting unit has at least 12 LEDs. (No lighteningbugs on a stake). If security solar lights are required, to keep you safe … Look for a light that has 24 + LEDs. What about a shed or detached garage with no electric power… Seek out a light that mounts on the interior, has at least 24 LEDs (for white bright flood lighting) & make sure it has a solar panel that can be remotely mounted on the roof of the structure, it also should have a pre-wired on/off switch that is then located in a convenient location on the interior of the building. The most efficient outdoor motion solar security lights should include at least 32+ LEDs, and will have a built-in passive infrared motion detector, that only activates the light when someone enters the ‘motion field’. Seek out a website that provides you with complete product specifications. An educated consumer is a satisfied customer! Avoid disappointment!! Do not buy strictly on price, or with limited product information!! Excellent solar lighting products are readily available for the educated residential consumer.
